He is a brilliant diagnostician and t he show revolves around his interactions with the local Cornish villagers. Despite his medical brilliance, Doc Martin is grouchy and bad-mannered, and lacks social skills.  He marries the local school teacher and they have a child.  The baby and his lovely wife become a bridge of love and change Doc Martin as he struggles to find himself. Are we killing our pets with love?  A recent study shows that 52.6% of our nations 83.3 million dogs are overweight or obese and 57.6% of our 95.6 million cats suffer from the same problem. Dr. Ernie Ward, founder of the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention [APOP] states, "the pet industry is mighty and well-meaning, but it is time we stop accepting the status quo. We must start working together to fight obesity through knowledge and action."
